TeleHealth Appointments Now Available

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we now offer our patients "TeleHealth" appointments allowing patients to remotely consult with Dr. Teresa Tam or Dr. Jenny Tam from the safety and privacy of their home using secure, online communication technologies. TeleHealth appointments are true patient-to-doctor interactions via audio/visual digital communication. When you make your appointment (online or call in), you may request an in-office or Telehealth visit.

Every TeleHealth appointment request is first reviewed by your physician. She will take into consideration your medical reason(s) for your visit, together with any previous medical history or existing conditions (existing patients only). After reviewing your request, she will determine whether a TeleHealth remote visit or an in-office best fits your medical condition. Please keep in mind, not all appointments are conducive to a TeleHealth visit.

In addition, since all TeleHealth appointments are actual medical encounters (just like an in-office appointment), they should be covered by your health insurance. If you are approved by your physician for a Telehealth appointment, one of our staff will contact you for additional background and insurance information before finalizing your appointment.

Use the links above to schedule your in-office or TeleHealth appointment with Dr. Teresa or Dr. Jenny, either online or by calling the office. If you make an online appointment or if you call outside of regular office hours and leave a message with our service, someone from our office will contact you during office hours to confirm your appointment.

Healthcare is a “Stay At Home” Travel Exception

To All Our Illinois Patients:

In an effort to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Illinois Governor Pritzker has ordered all Illinois citizens to remain home and to limit outside travel to critical needs such as food, gas, and healthcare. For more information on that decree, go here:

As stated in his executive order number 10, paragraph 5a, individuals are permitted, “To engage in, or perform tasks essential to their health and safety, or to the health and safety of their family or household members (including but not limited to pets), such as, but way of example only and without limitation, seeking emergency services, obtaining medical supplies or medication, or visiting a health care professional.”.

Thanks to that medical exception, you are permitted, by law, to leave your home to see your doctor. Therefore, you can make or can keep your appointment with Dr Teresa Tam or Dr Jenny Tam. Please read the rest of this notice below for other COVID-19 measure we have taken All for Women Healthcare to protect the health and safety of our patients, staff, and providers.

COVID-19 and Your Medical Care

Our Responsibilities

We, the physicians and staff of All for Women Healthcare, are mindful of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Your health and well-being are our highest priority. While All for Women Healthcare remains open at this time (until further notice), we will still see patients during normal business hours. You may call us or make an appointment online.

Rest assured, we are taking all precautions and following protocols recommended by the CDC and health officials, to provide a safe and healthy environment for all our patients and staff. Every exam room is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between patients. All areas of human contact, including the waiting room, lab, and patient restroom are likewise cleaned and sanitize throughout the day. Doctors and staff also maintain the highest standards for their own personal hygiene, as well as take suitable precautions (including gloves and mask as necessary) for the safety of patients and themselves.

Patient Responsibilities

We kindly ask that every patient take a serious self-appraisal of their personal health before deciding to come in to our office. If you are suffering from any kind of cough, flu, fever, cold, or other respiratory illness; have come in contact with anyone with a known COVID-19 infection; or if you or someone you have come in contact with, recently traveled to and returned from any of the high risk countries, we kindly ask that you refrain from making an appointment. Also, if you are elderly or have a compromised immune system, we advise you to stay home to minimize outside exposure, unless you have an urgent medical need and must see us.

Please be aware, if you do come to the office and present to us with a cold or cough, you may be turned away for the health and safety of the other patients and medical staff. If you have an appointment, but become ill before the appointment, please call the office immediately to cancel your appointment. For time being, during this health crisis, we will be suspending our Missed Appointment Policy, but we do ask that patients please call as far ahead of time as possible to cancel their appointment so that other patients can use that appointment time.

Your Health and Safety Take Top Priority

It is our sincere hope that this crisis eventually comes to an end with minimal impact on all of us. Until then, we must all do our best to stay healthy and respect the health and welfare of others as well.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Stay healthy. Stay safe.

Dr. Tam has been in private practice since 1998. She was the Associate Director of their Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program for 10 years. She is currently Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois; Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois; and an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she has been on-staff for over 15 years.

Along with her medical practice, Dr. Tam is also an accomplished medical researcher having been published in a number of professional medical journals. She is a noted presenter at national and international medical conferences having presented over two dozen oral presentations, abstracts, video, and poster presentations combined. To date, she has written over 13 published research papers and produced a series of medical education videos. She was awarded “Attending of the Year and received the “National Faculty Award“, an unprecedented seven times as an attending physician and Associate Director of the Ob/Gyne residency program at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, and as an attending physician and mentor at Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.

In 2012, Dr. Tam took a sabbatical from her private practice to undertake a fellowship program in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery (MIGS) at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She left Chicago and moved to Hershey, PA for one year. There, she received advanced training in laparoscopic surgery and robotically-assisted surgery using the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System. She completed her fellowship in June 2013 and returned to Chicago to start her new solo practice, “All for Women Healthcare, SC“, located in the Stone Building at 2800 N. Sheridan Road, Suite 205N, in Chicago.

In February 2017, thanks to a growing demand for her medical expertise, Dr. Tam moved to a larger, completely new office in the Presence Center for Advanced Care (PCAC) building located at 2845 N. Sheridan Road, Suite 902, in Chicago, just down the block from her old office in the Stone Building. The PCAC is a truly modern, state-of-the-art medical building having just been completed in 2015. Dr. Tam’s new office offers patients a beautiful waiting area and four new exam rooms. The PCAC also offers visitors and patients the convenience of valet or indoor self-parking, and even a Walgreens pharmacy located in the lobby.

Besides medicine, Dr. Tam’s other passion is running… a lot of running! Over the past 20+ years, she has run in no less than 30 marathons (at 26.2 miles each!). She has completed full marathons all over the U.S. and the world including the Chicago Marathon (5 times, latest in October 2015), Las Vegas, Disney World, New York, Washington, DC, Rome, and Paris, just to name a few. She was featured in the news article, “50 Chicago Women in Sports“, appearing in Windy City Sports – Chicago’s Fitness & Recreation Guide Magazine, Chicago, Illinois, September, 1997. Dr. Tam fully understands the needs of female athletes and has helped many face special health challenges unique to their athletic lifestyle. It is no surprise that many of Dr. Tam’s patients are athletes, too. They love the fact that their doctor can identify with their unique needs as women athletes.

In all, Dr. Tam shows genuine understanding, concern, and compassion for all her patients. She takes the time to listen to their needs, as well as advise and educate them. As an accomplished clinician and minimally invasive gyne surgeon with over 20 years professional experience, together with her MIGS fellowship training, Dr. Tam brings an exceptionally high level of expertise and knowledge to her field, coupled with her warm and caring bedside manner for all her patients.

No Show & Cancellation Policy

PLEASE NOTE: As of September 1, 2015, we are charging a $30 FEE for any missed appointments or appointment not cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the original appointment time. This fee is not covered by health insurance. Therefore, no-show patients will be billed personally for the fee.

We value the health of all our patients, so we do our best to schedule enough time for Dr. Tam to give them the best care. In return, we expect our patients to be on time for their appointments. Due to high demand, Dr. Tam maintains a very full schedule. As a result, some patients must wait to get an appointment to see her. Missed appointments are unfair to these waiting patients who need see the doctor. This is especially important for Saturday appointments which are the most sought-after appointment times.

If a patient cannot make her scheduled appointment, she must call our office to reschedule or cancel her appointment at least 24 in advance or be charged for missing their appointment (“No-show”).

No Show – Missing any appointment without any notification, for any reason, is considered a “No Show”. Also, being late more than 30 minutes is considered a No Show if we cannot fit you in the schedule later that day or cannot fill in the time opened by your missed appointment with another patient.

Cancellations – All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment date and time. Any cancellations less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be considered a No Show.

The No-Show fee ($30) is not covered by health insurance and will be billed directly to the patient at the next office visit.
